As September has gone on, we’ve noticed a rise in executive actions and a minor improvement in the worlds of Fintech, Forex, and cryptocurrencies.
John Kim has been appointed as the new Chief Product Officer and Executive Vice President at PayPal (Nasdaq: PYPL). On September 26, he will start working for the massive payments company, replacing Mark Britto, who is retiring at the end of this year. At PayPal, he will oversee the engineering and product teams for merchants and customers.
Carolina Ceballos is the first Chief Compliance Officer appointed by Paxos specifically for that role. Ceballos’ appointment was made public on Thursday by Paxos General Counsel Ben Grey in a statement that was posted on the company website. Ceballos’ appointment, according to Grey, is yet another significant move Paxos has made to fortify the organization’s compliance and oversight culture.
Marilliza Karrera has been elevated to Head of Marketing at M4Markets. Recently, Jon Squires became the Executive Chairman of Skilling, a forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) broker. Squires, who has its headquarters in Cyprus, will advise the broker on how to grow their business.
The ADSS declared that Mark Hudson has been named Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Hudson’s appointment will support the company’s growth goal, according to an official statement made public on Tuesday. He had previously worked for a number of significant financial services companies. Serving as Senior Vice President and Head of HR for the bank’s Investment Banking, Corporate & Commercial Banking, and worldwide divisions, he worked for First Abu Dhabi Bank for more than three years.
Evangeline Mauthe has been appointed as the new Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering Officer by the Superior Markets Group. She had previously spent five months as a Senior Due Diligence Controller for Corporate and Institutional Banking at BNP Paribas, where she was headquartered in Germany. She spent a few years prior to that as the Head of Compliance at FSG Holdings.
With the recent appointment of Tobias Stöhr as Head of Sales for Germany, IG Group (LON- IGG) is enhancing its activities throughout Europe. Based in Frankfurt, Stöhr started working with IG Europe GmbH, the German business of IG Group, this month, as his LinkedIn page shows. He spent the previous three and a half years as a Sales Executive for Spectrum Markets, the independent division of IG.
Hamad Haider has been elevated to the position of Global Chief Legal Officer by Equiti Group. Haider, who was formerly the Global Head of Legal, is headquartered in Dubai. In September 2020, he started working for the broker, mainly to support their expansion goals. His duties included making decisions on a few other non-legal matters and growing the group’s legal team. Haider has over 15 years of expertise and a solid legal background.
Christos Drakos, the Executive Director for Cyprus at Revolut, has left ArgusFX. With more than ten years of experience in the field, Drakos posted on LinkedIn on Monday to announce a new position. As an Executive Director of a financial services company based in Cyprus, this is Drakos’ third position. Drakos held the position of Executive Director at OvalX’s Cyprus branch prior to joining ArgusFX.
Wilhelm Rohde’s nomination to Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Paysend has strengthened the company’s top management team. Rohde has a solid experience in business. He worked for American Express for about 14 years, holding a number of high roles. His previous employer was Deloitte Consulting before joining American Express.
The appointment of Andrew Bradshaw as Head of Prime Services was announced by Invast Global on Monday. Bradshaw started the job right away and is stationed in Sydney. His arrival to the broker’s prime services group, which also includes Matt Harris, Harry Fry, and Cyrus Poon, is significant.
