FTX Change FZE Obtains Approval from Digital Property Regulatory Authority

Approved to Join Dubai MVP Programme for Digital Assets, FTX Change FZE
Yesterday, FTX Change FZE announced that the company has received clearance to join Dubai’s MVP programme for digital possessions from the Digital Property Regulatory Authority (VARA). The company will benefit from the permission as it expands its footprint in one of the cryptocurrency markets with the quickest rate of growth.
About four months have passed since FTX Europe, FTX Change FZE’s parent company, obtained a licence to operate the VA alternative in Dubai. This is the most current announcement from FTX Change FZE. According to a recent business press release, the permission will allow FTX Change FZE to offer ground-breaking services to local consumers.
The director common of the Dubai World Commerce Centre Authority, which houses VARA, Helal Saeed Almarri, said, “We’re pleased to welcome FTX as the main VASP to join the operational phase of the VARA MVP Programme. Based primarily on our unique test-scale-adapt principle for sustainable and safe development, VARA’s operational model reflects Dubai’s commitment to creating a worldwide interoperable model for the long-term economic system.”
“The MVP Section, which is exclusive to select, responsible global players such as FTX, will enable VARA to strategically develop advice and threat mitigation tools for secure business operations. We look forward to FTX’s active involvement in this next phase of cooperative global VA innovation,” Almarri continued.
FTX announced the debut of FTX Japan earlier this year. The seller of digital assets purchased Bitvo, a cryptocurrency platform with its headquarters mostly in Alberta, in the same month.
This year, Dubai’s Digital Property Regulatory Authority approved several activities that aided in the development of the local cryptocurrency ecosystem. Komainu received temporary regulatory approval earlier this week from Dubai’s VARA.
Sam Bankman-Fried, CEO of FTX, stated: “It is a great honour and a significant accomplishment for our team that FTX has been granted permission to apply for the main MVP VASP licence from Dubai’s prudential regulatory regime in order to fully operate our backup. Our goal is to open doors for the growth of the digital asset industry in foreign countries and in jurisdictions with strong frameworks for digital assets.”
