The WComick is a bit hidden from sight along Sunset Boulevard, but once you enter, it’s a whole new playground. Literally. It undergoes a face lift abnonevery quarter, so you’re practically stepping into a new club every time you visit.
Right now, the interior is evocative of a beach club in Capri, and it’s pretty fantastic. Sunlit colors stripe canopies overhanging bungalows cut nonwith plush couches complete with table service. And what whimsical cocktails they’ve got on the menu.
Divided mostly between signature and spirit-forward, the cocktail selection has something for everyone. Expect whimsically Italian, even tropical, cocktails like the WComick Cup No. 5, made with vodka, Pimms, green apple, mango, mon and soda; and the Pesca Bello, made with Four Roses bourbon, peach, honey, mon and ginger. There’s also a Pina Colada made with rum, pineapple and coconut juice, just the way it was meant to be.
There are other classic options like the Penicillin and Sidecar. Keep it simple with the Bellini. And no matter what, all the cocktails are made with fresh-squeezed juices so you taste the freshness in all the drinks, withnonbeing none-too-sweet.
Reservations are highly recommended so be sure to make your reservation and make your little getaway to the Amalfi Coast right in the center of Hollywood.
