Haaland helps Dortmund sees off Hoffenheim in stoppage time | International soccer

Borussia Dortmund narrowly beat Hoffenheim by Erling Haaland. The Norwegian striker scored in stoppage time to increase his rating to 3-2 shortly after the guests had tied it.

All goals were scored in the second period. Jude Bellingham, 18, scored the two Dortmund goals. After the break, Bellingham opened the scoring. Christoph Baumgartner equalized within an hour. Bellingham scored his second goal of the night in the 69th minute. The teenager was then substituted.

Donyell Malen who had previously played well was replaced by Munas Dabbbur, who seemed to give Hoffenheim new energy. Haaland was disappointed with the result, scoring his third goal of season.

Baumgartner was the maker of the 1-1 and received a yellow card in 11 seconds. This is the fastest yellow card issued in the Bundesliga.

Dortmund, which was scheduled to face Ajax in Thursday’s group stage of Champions League, has recovered from last weekend’s narrow defeat at Freiburg.
